How can you participate?
In order to participate you only have to arm yourself with a jar on your beach vacation. Also fill this jar with trash you find on the beach and send us a picture of you and the filled jar on the beach to cleanbeach@thelifeloverclub.com. Finally you can exchange the filled jar at our club for a € 100 voucher or bring it with you to your appointment.
What is the goal of the Clean Beach Challenge?
Our goal is to get people to pay more attention to their environment and fellow creatures and furthermore to contribute a small part to their wellbeing.
Beaches verge directly to one of the largest habitats for plants and animals. Every year, about 10 million tons of waste are flushed into the oceans (75% is made of plastic). This also causes approximately 1 million seabirds and 135,000 marine mammals to loose their lives each year.
Even for many of us, these beaches are little paradises where we can escape the daily grind and enjoy the sun. Alone for that reason we should be interested in preserving these paradises. Help us and on top of the feeling of having done something useful, we will reward you with a voucher over 100€ for tattoo projects in THE LIFELOVER CLUB. This is an extra incentive and prize we want to give you to make this world a better place.
We know our Clean Beach Challenge is only a small part and the challenge is big. Nevertheless, we are thankful and happy about every single piece of waste and trash that does no longer pollute the environment. And we are happy about every person we possibly can reach and get to change their perspective about treating this world, our paradise. This Challenge is just the beginning; a first movement, but not our last! Help us make this world a better place and become part of THE LIFELOVER CLUB.
How did we get the idea?
We love to create new designs and ideas for you on a daily basis and do this with all our heart. But even we need a break from work to recharge our batteries from time to time. So this year, THE LIFELOVER CLUB did this in Spain on the beach of the ‘Mar Menor’. Unfortunately it has been suffering increasingly from human pollution for years (read more here). What clouded our daily beach walk was flying around, washed up and left garbage. We made it a habit to clean up the part of beach before sitting in the sun.
In addition to the pollution, many tourists worldwide destroy the beaches because they want to bring a jar of sand as a souvenir back home. Meanwhile, 90% of the world’s beaches are shrinking. This is partly because of the constant erosion by tourism and the construction industry. In many places, beaches are regularly artificially piled up in order to maintain tourism.
This led us to the idea to give people an incentive to do something good for the beaches instead of harming them. And with the same effort: filling a jar on the beach.
What conditions apply to participation?
For each glass of trash, documented through a picture on your vacation and brought to us afterwards you will receive a 100€ voucher. The glass should be at least the size of a standard jam jar, closed and filled to a large extent.
Should you be able to participate as a group, the value can be divided into several vouchers. The vouchers are not tied to your person, so they can be passed on. These vouchers are only valid for tattoos at THE LIFELOVER CLUB and non-refundable. They can only be redeemed individually and can not be combined with other discount promotions. If you do not want your picture to be used by us to continue reporting online about the Clean Beach Challenge, you can disagree with it in the e-mail containing the picture. Otherwise, we reserve the right to use the pictures.
The closing date for entries is December 31, 2022. We plan to repeat the promotion regularly!
What happens to the collected garbage?
We will collect all the waste and make sure that it is recycled. Of course we will keep you informed about the entire procedure.
